MLC Families - First Day of School is August 31
Welcome back to our vibrant community of parents and students as we embark on the exciting new school year! We hope that your summer holidays were filled with joy, relaxation, and perhaps a few cherished moments of adventure. As the warmth of the sun transitions into the crisp of the new season, we are eager to welcome you all back to the classroom.

ACTION ITEM: Required Registration Forms and Documents
Registration Process:
Step 1: Fill out the Student Profile Please complete this as soon as possible. You can pause and save your progress throughout the form.
Step 2: Fill out the Student Medical Profile Please complete as soon as possible. If you're waiting on forms from your child's doctor, you can still complete your child's Medical Profile and submit your documents at a later date
Step 3: Submit all necessary documents and medications to the office Please have all medical documents into the school by August 21st.
Prior the start of the school year, all families (returning and new) must complete the Registration Process. As we're upgrading our computer filing systems, all families will be filling out the same forms. If you have multiple children enrolled, you'll need to complete the process separately for each of them. Our Before and After School Childcare Program will continue to be available for families on both a regular and drop-in basis. This program continues to provide a warm, safe, and engaging environment where children can continue learning, exploring, and building friendships beyond the school day. Information and registration for before and after school childcare is in the Student Profile Form.
Medical Documents required prior to the start of the school year:
Child Health Appraisal with vaccination records filled out by your child's doctor before the start of the school year. There is an option to submit this within the form, or you can bring it into the office.
If your child will be taking medication regularly at school you'll need to submit the Medication Administration Record (MAR) Form for Routine or Limited Use to the office with each medication.
If your child will be using diaper cream, sunscreen, you'll need to complete the MAR Form for Emergency or As Needed Use and send it into school with your sunscreen and/or diaper cream.
If you'll be keeping medication at school to use in an emergency or as needed (like allergy medications or epinephrine auto-injectors), you'll need to complete the MAR Form for Emergency or As Needed Use with the medication.
If your child requires an epinephrine auto-injector or has a food allergy, please submit the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Emergency Care Plan with their medication.
Any prescribed medications must be in their original packaging labeled with the prescription.

As you begin the registration process and prepare for the school year, you may receive communications from Megan Stern, our Office Operations Consultant and Parent Liaison. Megan is updating our back office operations and providing support to teachers and families as we implement new systems and platforms. She'll continue to be a contact point for parents and coordinator for parent events and fundraising throughout the year. We welcome her experience and perspective as a former educator, large scale program developer, operations analyst, and as an MLC parent. Her work helps us continue to provide excellent service to our school community.
Childcare is Available August 24th - 27th 7:30am - 6pm
Childcare will be offered from 7:30am - 6:00pm. Parents will be charged our childcare rate of $10.50/hr used.
Please note: You must have all of your registration and medical documents submitted PRIOR to attending childcare.
