Parents at Montessori Learning Center are members of our team. They are the child’s first educator, advocate, and supporter. It is our belief that most parents want to be involved with their child’s education. We do not therefore, require “co-op” hours but instead welcome and encourage parents to contribute to the school in whatever capacity works for the parent and the child. Involvement may mean assisting your child’s class with a special project or helping the teachers with classroom tasks. It may mean sharing a passion or hobby with our students. Parents have joined us to cook with children, play music and create a special craft.
Parents may also contribute by assisting the larger school community. MLC has a parent group that provides feedback regarding programs, makes suggestions, assists with events and sponsors parent teacher socials. Parents are crucial to the success of our special events, such as our annual Book Fair and Open House, Science Night, and many other school events.
We truly value our relationship with parents as our partners in assuring the success of the child.
