Hello and Welcome, to the Montessori Learning Centre, located in Wilmington, Delaware. Established in 1974, we are a small, caring, Montessori preschool and kindergarten dedicated to the growth of the entire child. We are very proud of our facility and the work we do with young children and are delighted to share this information with you. Our center offers a program designed to promote the physical, social, cognitive, and emotional development of the child. We are dedicated to the 2 1/2 to 6 year old child based on the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. Using unique Montessori materials, this program cultivates the child's natural desire to learn, develops an increased concentration and attention span, encourages a positive self-concept, and fosters a love of learning. Our philosophy is based on love and respect for each child as a special, unique individual. Winner of the 2002 & 2007 Governor's Award for Excellence in Early Care and Education. Our school is located on the north bound side of 202, 1/4 mile north of the Rt. 141 intersection.
