Three or Four Morning Program
9:00 am - 12:00 Noon, Ages 2.9 - 4
Three day: $4,452 per year / $445.20 monthly for 10 months
Four day: $5,257.60 per year / $525.76 monthly for 10 months
Our three morning program is offered to 2, 3 and 4 year old children. We offer this program for families who are looking for a part time schedule for their preschoolers. These children are fully incorporated into the Montessori classroom while having time on their "off days" for family activities. We encourage a three consecutive day schedule, since young children find comfort in more consistent schedules.
The Five Morning Program
9:00 am - 12:00 Noon, Ages 2.9 - 6
$5,724 per year / $572.40 monthly for 10 months
Our five morning program is available to all children. With five days, these children are given the opportunity to truly master all work in the classroom. They are able to participate in all daily activities such as sound days or special days which may be missed with a 3 day program. We offer this program to families who are looking for the “total” Montessori experience and to children who have progressed beyond the three day experience.
Montessori Full Day Program
9:00 am - 2:30 pm, Ages 4.5 - 6
$7,526 per year / $752.60 monthly for 10 months
We offer a special extended day program for four, five and six year olds who have attended at least one year of Montessori preschool. These children are in their regular classrooms in the mornings with a full mixture of ages. In the afternoon, these small groups of older children concentrate on the more advanced Montessori materials. Special emphasis is placed on introducing these children to more group and teacher led activities. In this way, it serves as a bridge between the Montessori classroom and more traditional first grade placements.
Kindergarten Options
9:00 am - 12:00 Noon, Ages 5 - 6
The five morning program is not “just for the little kids.” True to the Montessori Philosophy, the five day program (same as above) provides a quality Kindergarten curriculum exceeds all state standards. In addition, it offers all the benefits of being the leader in the classroom: increased independence, confidence and competence in all areas. They are able to practice leadership skills by teaching others, while still continuing full speed on their own academic course. The older child truly “takes off” in the Five Morning Program.
Child Care
We offer a licensed before and after school program for our families that need longer hours of care. Fees are completely flexible and are based on the actual amount of time your child spends with us each week. This means that if on Monday they stay until 4 o'clock, you are charged for four hours. It also means that if they are sick, you pay nothing; and if you pick up earlier than usual, the fee is reduced. You are free to use this service every day, once or twice a week, or as an occasional drop in. It's up to you and your particular schedule. Charges are as follows:
2008– 2009 Child Care Charges
Before School Care, 7:30 – 9:00 am ................. $5.75 per hour
After School Care, 12:00 - 6:00 pm
1 - 5 hours per week ........................................ $8.50 per hour
6 - 14 hours per week ...................................... $6.25 per hour
15 + hours per week ......................................... $5.75 per hour
Child Care charges are billed monthly based on actual usage of this service. Invoices are e-mailed and include the previous month’s child care charges and the upcoming month’s tuition.
Our child care is a warm, traditional program where the children happily play. Activities include arts and crafts (e.g. cutting, gluing, coloring, painting, craft projects, etc.), outdoor play, blocks, legos, dramatic play, housekeeping, puzzles, manipulatives, and books. Time is provided for those children who require a nap to sleep; those that have grown out of their naps, have a brief rest period. Our dedicated staff create themed lessons and activities, nurture the children, and maintain a safe, interesting environment for the children in their care.
Summer Camp
Our Montessori morning program and child care continue through the summer months for those parents that desire year round coverage. The fees generally reflect the previous year's tuition and child care rates. Parents also have the flexibility to pick and choose which weeks to attend in order to accommodate family vacations.
The pace is more relaxed in the summer time with walks to the park, sprinkler play, and crafts mixed with the Montessori materials and lessons. Each year, the children plant and tend vegetable and flower gardens in our playground; by August we are having cucumbers and cherry tomatoes for snack! Summer is a fun time at the Montessori Learning Centre.
